Library, Media and Technology services

Importance:
Access to information and knowledge goes beyond the classroom, therefore, students & educators need library and media resources to support teaching and learning.
Independent study, research papers, and leisure reading are but a few ways to use the library and media services.
Technology also provides access to information and is a tool for learning, teaching and record keeping. To be successful in higher education and the workplace, students and teachers must have up-to-date technology skills.
The Library:
The library occupies a large room ( 2 class room size ) on the third floor; its size is (8 ) x ( 10 ) sq. meters. It's well lighted, ventilated, equipped with 8 large shelves, cupboard, tables, drawers…etc. The number of books is approximately 300 books of all branches of knowledge: fiction, science …and a number of encyclopedias is 5( 3 in English & 2 in Arabic).
There is also a collection of CDs covering Science, History, and English language to support the curriculum .The Board sets a special budget annually for acquisition of new books. Teachers of all subjects study the available catalogues and choose the books they believe to be of importance to their students and are aligned with the school purpose and mission.
The library is provided with (4) computers online for the use of students and teachers. Students use all the resources available in the library in their research work and teachers guide them as to the best way they make use of such facilities.
The librarian is in the process of completing the system of recording the current inventory.
Technology Vision Statement
EAS believes that technology can be used throughout the curriculum to enhance student learning, to improve the quality of student work, to allow opportunities to integrate and expand curriculum, and to maximize student potential. To complete and implement our vision of technology we must provide continual financial support for curriculum, hardware, software, facilities and training.
Students must be prepared to be lifelong learners who are responsible for their own learning, skilled in accessing and processing information, confident in using technological tools and able to solve complex problems alone. Collaborative, capable of being creative and innovative, and able to communicate locally, nationally and world wide.
